His civilian career field was sales. He began at a very young age, when you just had to hold the reins to drive. After World War II, he joined ASG Glass Inc. and stayed with the company until his retirement in 1977 from the position as Director of Marketing. His hobbies included operating ham radio equipment and building additions to his home.

Eaton was a retired businessman and a member of the Methodist Church. He served the town of Jumpertown as its first mayor when the Prentiss County town was first incorporated and later served as a town alderman.
He was the author of one book, entitled "In Prison and Out," which described his experiences in the state prison at Parchman and in three federal prisons.
In August of 1931 Eaton and his brother, Clovis, were found guilty in the Circuit Court of Prentiss County of murdering U. S. marshal Clyde Rivers.

. Mr. Eldridge was a boilermaker, a member of Tuscumbia Baptist Church, a Mason and a member of Boilermakers Local #263.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye Grimes Eldridge; his parents, Stanley and Daphene Mathis Eldridge of Booneville; two daughters, Jenny Hatfield and her husband, Darryl, of Booneville, and Amy Lynn Young and her husband, Terry, of Nettleton; one son, Michael Larame Eldridge of the home; three grandchildren, Bryson and Brooke Hatfield and Teri Leigh Young.

over the recent news received by Misses
Mrs. Ellis had been in ill health for a year or more.
Her husband, Irving Ellis, son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. P. Ellis of Booneville, preceded her in death in 1939, a year
after this beloved couple came to Booneville to make, their home. They resided
in the apartments with the late Mrs. Roy Barnett on
Mrs., Ellis was a lady of rare
charm and she endeared herself to an admiring circle of friends, who sincerely
regret her death. She was buried in the family plot in
