the Confederate army. Maj. Thomas J. Key commanded
artillery under Gen. Cleburne, and is at present editor of the Southern
Agriculturalist,
Columbus Key, at the close of the war, purchased a large
farm eight miles from Corinth, Miss., where he lived until his death. He
was esteemed by all his neighbors. He leaves four worthy children, one
daughter and three sons, who will take care of and provide for their mother.

Henley and husband, Elbert, of Memphis; a sister, Lavora Gordon of Racine, Wis.; a stepson, Clelon Kirksey and wife, Jean, of Gary, Ind.; a great-grandson, Brandon Jackson of Tupelo; four great-granddaughters, Krystle and Amanda Scales of Baldwyn, Amber Jackson of Tupelo and Zoe Henley of Memphis; four stepgranddaughters; several stepgreat-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Kirksey Jr.; five brothers, Booker T., Ezell, Isaac, Lawrence and O'dellia Armstrong; two sisters, Beatrice Ball and Ethel Johnson.
Pallbearers will be her great-grandson and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before services.

Mrs. Kitchens was Miss Mary Allie Dees, the daughter of Abe and Minerva Dees, of Tippah County, before her marriage.
She was a member of the
Funeral services were con ducted by the Rev. B. C. Whitehurst. Surviving are her husband, R. D. Kitchens, and one son, Ollis H. Kitchens of i3ooneville, one other son, Lee Kitchens, died in 1933. Five brothers and one sister also survive.
McMillan and son had charge of the funeral arrangements.
