KATHLEEN TACKETT

Kathleen Tackett, 82, died Dec. 10, 2002. at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness.

She was horn April 6, 1920, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to the late Coleman and Clora Todd Bevill. She was a former resident of Pontotoc and a resident of Mooreville for 15 years. She was a retired employee of Indian Hills Apparel after 30 years. She was the widow of James L. Tackett, who died in 1998. She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with her dog.

Survivors include four children, Rita Edwards and her husband, Bobby, and Nelda Tooke all of Mooreville, Danny Tackett and his wife, Barbara, of Gulfport, and Emily Tackett Warne and her husband. Todd, of Mantachie, eight grandchildren Jackie Bracken and her husband Dennis, Amy Holliday and Christy Ford, all of Mooreville Lisa Glidewell and her husband Glen. of Alpine community Neal Tyra of Smithville, and Danielle Tackett, Kelly Tacket and Shelly Tackett, all of Gulf port, four great-grandchildren Stephen Deaton, James Bracken, Jade Morphis and Montana Adams.

Pallbearers were Dennis Bracken, James Edwards Stephen Deaton, Glen Glidewell, Todd Warner, and David Bevill.

Burial was in Fawn Grow Cemetery.

FORREST TAFT

Forrest Walter Taft, 72, of San Diego, Calif., died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, in San Diego after a lengthy illness.

Services were Sunday, Jan. 20, at 4 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Taft was a retired Chief Petty Officer from the U. S. Navy with wartime service in Vietnam and Korea.

He is survived by his wife, Ilene Gaines Taft of San Diego; and a sister, Glenda Camp of Georgia.

BEVERLY ANN POUNDS TAHTINEN

Beverly Ann Pounds Tahtinen, 42, of 1806 Briar Ridge Road, Tupelo, died unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 7, 1985, at her home.

Services were Sunday, Nov. 10, at McMillan Funeral Home chapel with Doug Greenway officiating. Burial was in Booneville Cemetery.

Mrs. Tahtinen was the widow of Duane Tahtinen. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sons, Duane Tahtinen of Plantersville and Bradley Tahtinen of the home; her parents, Kenneth R. Pounds of Tupelo and Mrs. Madeline Huffman of Saltillo; a brother, Kenny Pounds of Tupelo; and two sisters, Mrs. Linda Davis of Booneville and Mrs. Audie Shockley of Tupelo

BILLY EARL TALLEY

WALNUT - Billy Earl Talley, 45, died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at Tippah County Lake. He was a factory worker and a member of the County Line Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert and Emmie Talley and Lummie and Willie Barnes.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the County Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Timmy Wilbanks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Ripley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his parents, Blanton and Jean Talley of Walnut; two sisters, Barbara Jerrolds of Corinth and Mary Bates and her husband, Phillip, of Walnut; two brothers, Terry Talley and Bobby Talley and his wife, Anita, all of Walnut; five nieces, Chasity Talley, Mandy Talley and Kayla Bates, all of Walnut, Danielle McCarter and Hannah Jerrolds, both of Corinth; two nephews, Tyler Richardson of Corinth and Bud Bates of Walnut; a special friend, Jane Wilbanks of Chalybeate.

Pallbearers will be Robin Wilbanks, David Henry, Robby Mullins, Jimmy Clemmer, Tommy Bonds and Timmy Nelms.

Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Aldrige, Jeff Wilbanks, Alan Wilbanks and Billy Barnes.

The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.

BILLY TALLEY

CORINTH - Billy Linn Talley, 52, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He was a retired officer for the Shelby County, Tenn., Sheriff's Office. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart Award from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office for injuries received on the job. He was a former member of the Shelby County Sheriffs Association. He attended Kossuth and Corinth high schools. He was retired from the Army National Guard. He was a Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church in Memphis.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Coleman-Family Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Vanderford and Bro. Pete Wooley officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Alcorn County.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Follin Talley of Memphis; his mother, Eloise Hinton Talley of Corinth; a son, Marcus Christopher Talley of Corinth; a daughter, Ashley Loren Talley of Memphis; a brother, Eddy Talley of Corinth.

He was preceded in death by his father, Quinton Talley; a sister, Barbara Kent; a niece, Jennifer Timleck; and his grandparents, Lester and Minnie Talley, and Brown and Ruby Hinton.

CORINTH - Eloise Talley, 78, died Thursday, March 31, 2005, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a retired employee of ITT and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Mission Church.

HAL TALLEY

Hal Talley, 62, died Friday, June 23, 2000 at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and married for 39 years. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his father Luther Talley; his mother Nola Settlemires Talley; a brother William Talley; 3 sisters Vela Clark, Lela Chapman, and Mary Dillingham.

Mr. Talley is survived by his wife of Brenda Kennedy Talley of Corinth, MS; 2 sons Greg Talley and wife Lynn, Randy Talley all of Corinth; 2 loving grandchildren, Ryan and Taylor Talley; 1 sister Oma Talley of Corinth; father and mother-in-law Troy and Hester Kennedy of Corinth MS; brothers-in-law Scottie Kennedy and wife Teenie of Memphis, Soggy Kennedy and wife Linda of Corinth, Tommy Kennedy and wife Beverly of Walnut, MS; sisters-in-law Verneice Jones and husband Mickey of Corinth, Regina Kennedy Childs of Corinth MS. Melba Talley of Walnut, MS; several nephews, nieces and other relatives and a host of friends.

QUILLA S. TALLEY

CORINTH – Quilla S. Talley, 89, died Monday, March 29, 2004, at the Corinth Health and Rehab. She was a homemaker and a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lone Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Smiley Mills and the Rev. Pete Wooley officiating. Burial will be in Lone Oak Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Talley and wife, Sandra, and Dean Talley, all of Corinth; a brother, Les Stewart and wife, Stella, of Corinth; two step grandchildren, Kim Green and George Lake; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Catelin Green, Alison Green and Megan Lake.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Talley; her parents, Luther and Dora Stewart; and a sister, Cletie Henderson.

MARGARET TANKERSLEY

CORINTH - Margaret Lancaster Tankersley, 68, formerly of Nashville, Tenn., Mayfield, Ky., and Germantown, Tenn., died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at her residence in Corinth. She was a native of Alcorn County, the daughter of the late Victor and Effie Elliott Lancaster. She was a graduate of Kossuth High School. She spent most of her adult life outside Corinth, including Germantown, Tenn., Nashville, Tenn., and Mayfield, Ky. She was a member of the Mayfield First Baptist Church. Since living in Corinth for the past two years, she attended the Oakland Baptist Church. She and her late husband, Buddy, owned chains of automotive parts stores and distribution centers in five states. She and her daughter owned a retail arts and crafts mall in Nashville. She was a nurse in Corinth prior to her business career.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McPeters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harris Counce officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis.

Survivors include one son, Jim Tankersley of Corinth; one daughter, Tambra T. Champagne and husband, Brandon, of Memphis; two sisters, Jean Russell of Olive Branch and Ruby Bumpas of Corinth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. "Buddy" Tankersley.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at McPeters Funeral Home.

EVELYN DAVIDSON TANNEHILL

Services for Evelyn Davidson Tannehill were Dec. 11 at All Saints Episcopal Church with the Rev. Shannon S. Johnston and the Rev. Gene Asbury officiating.

Tannehill, 92, died Dec. 9, 2002, at her home after a long illness.

She was a former resident of Urania. La., moving to Tupelo in 1988. She was a graduate of Louisiana Tech in Ruston, La., with a double major in chemistry and English. She later attended Tulane University. She taught high school in DeRidder, La., Urania. La., and Olla, La., before retiring. She was a nationally accredited flower show judge and state conservation chairman of the Louisiana Federated Garden Clubs. She was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Murphy A. Tannehill, on Feb. 9, 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Westbrook and her husband, Jim, of Tupelo; twin sons, Charles L. Tannehill of Estero, Fla., and Dr. Richard II. Tannehill and his wife, Suzette. of Baton Rouge, La.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her caregivers, Joyce Webb, Betty Coats, Mitsy Cook, Barbara Green and Sherry Smiechewicz.

Graveside services were Dec. 12 at Vienna Cemetery north of Ruston, La. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors were in charge of the arrangements.

BALDWYN - Janice Tanner, 58, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at her home. She was a former seamstress in garment manufacturing plants. She was a very loving, caring person.

BALDWYN - Tony Tanner, 44, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a cutter for River Oaks Furniture in Baldwyn and was a Baptist. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. O'Neal Buller officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Tanner of Baldwyn; his mother, Eloise Tanner of Baldwyn; two stepsons, Trent Glover and Joey Glover of Baldwyn: one sister, Janice Bullock and her husband, James, of Baldwyn; two nieces, Tammy and Jessica Bullock of Baldwyn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Tanner.

BALDWYN - James O. "Jimmy" Tapp, 74, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. He was born June 8, 1929, to R.L. and Gladys Duncan Tapp. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict and recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a pharmacist for 40 years and retired from Booneville Discount Drugs. He was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home in Baldwyn with Bro. Daniel Whitworth officiating. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Joy Maxwell Tapp; a daughter, Beth Jones and husband, Bryce, of Houston, Texas; a son, Bob Tapp of Baldwyn; two granddaughters, Megan and Kristen Jones of Houston, Texas; a brother, Clyde Tapp and wife, Jewell; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Mike Tapp.

BALDWYN - Marie Copeland Tapp, 89, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at her home. She was a nurse for Dr. J.M. Ford for 26 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwyn.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kesler-Coggins Funeral Home Chapel in Baldwyn with Bro. Lee Gardner and Bro. James Wooley officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.

Survivors include three nieces, Mildred Price of Booneville, Martha D. Gardner and husband, Bunch, of Shannon, and Margaret Ann Burgess and husband, Bob, of Destin, Fla.

BALDWYN - Gladys Irean Tate, 71, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004. She was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Prentiss County. She was a retired lunchroom worker with 19 years at Wheeler School and a lifelong member of New Tabernacle M. B. Church of Baldwyn. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of children.

CORINTH - Lottie Tatum, 85, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at the Magnolia Regional Health Care Facility.

FLORENCE, Ala. - Amy Etta Taylor, 73, died Saturday, June 26, 2003. She was a native of Colbert County, Ala., but had been a resident of Cloverdale, Ala., for the past 23 years. She was a member of Maud Church of Christ, but was attending Salem United Methodist Church of Cloverdale. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt, and was loved by her family and many friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Cherokee, Ala., with Bro. Dwayne McDuff officiating. Burial will be in Allsboro Cemetery.

Survivors include two sisters, Bethany Claunch of Burnsville and Annie Sego of Florence, Ala.; two brothers-in-law, Carroll Harrison and Jamie Sego; seven nieces, Vivian Davis, Linda Lambert, Mary Angel, Mae Jetton, Betty Vickery, Mary Jane Curtis and Martha McDuff; six nephews, John Walker, David Walker, Paul Walker, Robert Harrison, Amos Harrison and James Sego; great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Roxie Mae Massey Taylor; her father, Atlas Claude Taylor; three sisters, Beulah Walker, Matthew Mae "Honey" Taylor and China Harrison; two brothers-in-law, Roy Walker and Weldon Claunch; three nephews, Don Harrison, Roy Walker and Claud Walker.

Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.

BERNARD B. (SONNY) TAYLOR

IUKA - Bernard B. (Sonny) Taylor, 46, died Friday June 30, 2000 in Hardin County General Hospital, Savannah Tn. of a sudden heart attack. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the EBO Band and the owner and operator of Square-One Productions. He was also a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, a songwriter and a performer.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Pamela Taylor of Iuka; his parents, Orville B. and Willodean Taylor of Iuka; grandfather, Amery Taylor of Haleyville, AL; a daughter, Heather Wilcox of Cherokee AL; a son Richard Taylor of Iuka; 2 brothers, Robert Taylor of Tishomingo, Brian Taylor of Iuka; 7 grandchildren, Ethan Taylor, Walker Taylor, Diamond Williams, Madison Williams, Austin Taylor, Kayla Wilcox and Darrell Lambert.

MARIETTA - Bobby N. Taylor, 68, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, at Booneville Baptist Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was a retired farmer and factory worker, and a member of the Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Charlie and Lois Taylor.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel in Booneville with Minister Calvin Barber and Minister Ronnie Livingston officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Bonnie M. Lambert Taylor, 76, of Booneville, died Wednesday, July 3, 1996, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Booneville.

Mrs. Taylor was a housewife and a member of Jacinto Church of Christ. She was the widow of Fred Taylor.

CORINTH - Cedailua Taylor, 69, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She worked many years at the Corinth Hosiery Mill. She was a Baptist.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Mavis Phifer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Chewalla, Tenn.

CHARLES TAYLOR

MARIETTA - Charles Ray Taylor, 58, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at his home. He was born July 2, 1943, in Marietta to Harrison Dewey Taylor and Christine McKay Taylor. He was a supervisor in the garment manufacturing industry for many years and a part time cosmetologist. He was active in gospel singing for many years. He was the founder of the Singing Echoes Quartet with whom he sang and played the piano. Most recently he played piano for the group Redeemed. A Marietta alderman for six years, he was community minded and enjoyed helping other people.

MEMPHIS - Cleo Marshall Taylor, 61, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis. He was born Jan. 16, 1943, in Alcorn County to Freeman and Emma C. Hill Taylor. He was a self-employed custom painter.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Harold Gray officiating. Burial will be in Jerusalem Cemetery.

Survivors include four sons, Christopher M. Taylor, Michael F. Taylor and Samuel Jason Taylor, all of Memphis, and Howard Scott Taylor of West Memphis, Ark.; two brothers, William A. Newcomb and Jon A. Newcomb of Corinth; the mother of his children, Bobbie A. Taylor of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Jim A. Newcomb.

CLESTA TAYLOR

Clesta Ethel Riddle Taylor, 89, of Booneville, died Friday, March 30, 2001, at Graceland Care Center in New Albany.

Services were Sunday, April 1, at 4 p.m. at Mackey's Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Gene Brimingham and Elder Cecil Woodruff officiating. Burial was in Mackey's Creek Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Taylor was the widow of William R. Taylor. She was a member of Mackey's Creek Primitive Baptist Church where she was a member since 1947 and church clerk for 45 years. She was a housewife and worked for Blue Bell. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Page.

She is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Magill of Guntown; one son, Royal Taylor and his wife, Marthael of Booneville; five grand- I children and eight great-grandchildren.

CORDELIA TAYLOR

BOONEVILLE - Cordelia Evalou Kennedy Taylor, 69, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at her home. She was born March 13, 1936, in Prentiss County to Harbert Chandler Kennedy and Audrey Lee Ridge Kennedy. She was a research and design supervisor in the furniture industry. She was a member of Danville Baptist Church and the Lions Club in Rienzi. She enjoyed flowers and yard work.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Excail Burleson and Bro. David George officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jane Clayton and husband, Larry, of Brownsville, Tenn.; three sons, Robert Calvary and wife, Amy, of Hockley, Texas, Sammy Calvary and wife, Carolyn, of Iuka, and Bert Calvary and wife, Towana, of Corinth; five brothers, Tommy Kennedy and wife, Graple, Herbert Kennedy and wife, Carmen, Randall Kennedy, all of Corinth, Jerry Kennedy of Florida, and Paul Kennedy and wife, Doris, of Booneville; two sisters, Betty Curry and husband, Gerald, of Adamsville, and Wanda Jean Weaver; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

Curtis M. Taylor, 75, of Booneville, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a brief illness.

Services were Wednesday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m. at Martin Hill Free Will Baptist Church with the Bro. Ron Dail and Bro. Lenarse Stricklen officiating. Burial was in Martin Hill Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Taylor was a factory worker and a member of Martin Hill Free Will Baptist Church. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Movline Taylor; two daughters, Charlotte Riddle and her husband, J. V., of Booneville, . and Sandra Faulk and her husband, Myron of Brandon, Fla.; two sisters, Kathleen Corbin of Jumpertown and Christine Hamilton of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren, Jessica Gamble, Ben Dodds, Caitlin and Taylor Faulk, Jason Riddle and Monica Senter; four great-grandchildren, Lexie Gamble, Abbie Gamble, Zane Riddle and Jimmy Wayne Senter.

NEW SITE - Dora Dean Taylor, 76, died Sunday at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. NEW ALBANY - Danny Lee Taylor, 55, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at the Pontotoc County Hospital. He was a factory employee. He enjoyed playing music, guitar, drawing and painting. He loved his children, grandchildren and life.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Lott officiating.

CORINTH - Erma P. Taylor, 80, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born June 4, 1923, to the late Frank and Georgia Carter. She was an active member of Farmington Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. Her grandchildren were her first love.

BOONEVILLE - Estelle H. Taylor, 89, of Booneville, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at Longwood Community Living Center in Booneville after an extended illness. She was retired from Brown Shoe Co., a member of the Hill's Chapel Church of Christ and loved flowers and gardening.

BAY, Ark. - Flora Pace Taylor, 86, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at the Rosecare Nursing Home in Truman, Ark She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of , Bay Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Taylor.

Death of Dr. Frank Taylor Brings Sorrow

The people of Booneville were profoundly shocked Monday morning when the news spread that Dr. J. Frank Taylor had passed away at his place of business the Taylor-Smith Drug Store.

Dr. Taylor had gone to Corinth on Sunday to be with his brother George C. Taylor, who was critically ill, and had remained over Sunday night and returning to Booneville on the fast train, reaching here just after nine o'clock on his way to the store, he had a fainting spell and was carried into his store, where medical aid was summoned. Everything possible was done for him, but he only lived a few minutes.

Dr. Taylor was the son of the late Col. C. A. Taylor and was born and reared near Rienzi. He obtained his early education at Rienzi in the school of Prof. W. L. Gibson and then took up the study of medicine. He then moved to Booneville and associated himself with Dr. W. V. Davis in the practice of medicine and did a fine practice for many years, winning the confidence and esteem of those with whom he came in contact. He then retired from active practice and entered the drug business. After some changes he became the senior partner of the Taylor-Smith Drug Company, in which he remained until his death. He was a stockholder and member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Booneville.

He was an active member of the Methodist Church and had been for many years. He was a man of high ideals, kind and considerate and much beloved by those who knew him. He was married to Miss Ber Curlee and to them one daughter, Miss Catherine was born. He was a devoted and affectionate husband and father.

J. Taylor of Booneville as the only surviving member of the family of three brothers and two sisters.

The funeral was held from the Methodist Church Wednesday Morning and was one of the most largely attended funerals ever held in Booneville. The exercises were led by Bro. W. H. Mounger, his pastor, who was assisted by Bro. J. W. Ward of Columbus his former pastor and Brs. J. D. Thompson, pastor of the Baptist Church.

After the church services the body was carried to the Booneville Cemetery, where it was laid to rest and the newly made mound was covered with a profusion of beautiful flowers that attested the esteem in which this good man was held by those who knew and loved him.

The active pallbearers were: E. T. Miller, S. D. Bell, G. T. Smith, A. F. Simmons, L. L. Spain, J. O. Robertson.

Ushers were: Ovid Robertson, Tom Henry Blythe, Carroll Blythe, H. P. Hople.

GRACE TAYLOR

AMORY - Grace Towne Taylor, 97, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born June 2, 1907, in Kirksville, Mo., to the late Dr. Allen Dodge and Theresa Shultz Towne. She had lived in Middlesboro, Ky., Meridian, Miss., Jonesboro, Ark., Corinth, Miss., and Chattanooga, Tenn., and had lived in the Amory area for 38 years. She married John Grant Taylor on March 22, 1931, at Grace Episcopal Church in Memphis; he preceded her in death in 1999. She was a talented musician and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church in Aberdeen. She enjoyed the outdoors and nature.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Henry Cemetery in Corinth with Father Tim Jones officiating. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, M.J. Justice of Amory and Barbara Self of Meridian; four grandchildren, Allen Justice, John Justice, Daniel Self and Susan Self; five great-grandchildren, Leighton Justice, Taylor Justice, Anna Caryl Justice, Ally Self and Elizabeth Self; her special friends, Peggy and Lynn Todd, Ruth Farrar and Clara Dykes, all of Amory.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Dr. James Towne and an infant brother; and one sister, Ruth Louise Towne.

GROVER TAYLOR

CORINTH - Grover Crason Taylor, 81, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at his home. He was a retired Baptist minister and the former pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church in Corinth. He also was retired from the Louisiana State Medical Center in Shreveport, La. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

A private memorial service will be held. Coleman-Family Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Taylor and Susan Taylor of Corinth; a son, Daniel Taylor of Corinth; and his former wife, Maretta P. Taylor of Corinth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lavada Taylor, and a brother, James O. Taylor.

GWEN TAYLOR

MARIETTA - Gwen Taylor, 69, tied Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at Booneville Baptist Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was a factory worker and a member of Marietta United Methodist Church and the Easter Star.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Glover and Bro. Bill Wallace officiating. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Teresia Hendrix and her husband, Billy, of Kirkville: two sons, Phillip Taylor and his wife, Folds, of Marietta and Steve Taylor of Tupelo, and one sister, Collins Ward of Marietta: five grandchildren.

CORINTH - Jerred Seth Taylor, 10, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at his home. He was a member of Strickland Baptist Church and a student at Kossuth Elementary School. He was an honorary deputy with the Alcorn County Sheriff's Department. A patriotic young man, he had planned to serve his country by joining the U.S. Marine Corps. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, G.I. Joes and riding horses. He loved his family and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Bro. Harold Burcham will officiate, and Charlie Browning will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Lanette Taylor, 31, of the Hills Chapel community, died Monday, April 7, 1997, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after an extended illness.

Services were Wednesday, April 9, at 2 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dwight Scott officiating. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor was a housewife. She was a member of Vaughn Baptist Church in Vaughn, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, May Nell Sealey.

She is survived by her husband, Rickey Lee Taylor; her father, Benny Baird of Golson, Texas; two sons, Christopher Taylor and Terry Taylor, both of the home; four sisters, Leann Goodin and Crystal Baird, both of the Hills Chapel community, Larinda "Binkie" Roberts of the Burton community, and Janie Porterfield of Malvern, Ark.; and one brother, Kerry Sanders of Booneville.

Lois Sanders Taylor, 86, of Booneville, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1995, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a brief illness.

Services were Thursday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Ronnie Livingston and Minister Ricky Griffin officiating. Burial was in Mackey's Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor was the widow of C. A. "Charlie" Taylor. She was a retired teacher and taught in the Prentiss County School System for 34 years. She was a member of New Bethel Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by one brother, David Sanders.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynn Caveness of Marietta; two sons, Charles Taylor of Senatobia and Bobby Taylor of Marietta; one sister, Rachel Allen of Booneville: two brothers, Roger Sanders of Booneville and Joe Sanders of Senatobia; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

BOONEVILLE - Louis Edward Taylor, 60, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a member of Wolf Creek M.B. Church. He was a brick mason and an employee of Custom Furniture Company. He enjoyed fishing.

Madra A. Taylor, 90, of Booneville, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of Mt. Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church and retired from Prentiss Manufacturing. She was the widow of Guy Auston Taylor. She was preceded in death by one son, Herschel Taylor.

She is survived by one son, R. L. Taylor of Bellview, Fla.; one daughter-in-law, Gladys Taylor of Water Valley; two brothers, Denver Penna and his wife, Annie, of Pensacola, Fla., and Junes Melvin Penna of Booneville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

MATHEL L. TAYLOR

BOONEVILLE - Mathel L. Taylor, 79, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was born Oct. 26, 1923, in Frankfurt, Ala., to the late James Ervin and Ida Bell Taylor. He was a retired farmer and a member of Little Creek Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Elbert Ray Bennett and Bro. Wayne Higgins officiating. Burial will be in the Carolina United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Lorene Taylor; three daughters, Pat Taylor and James Austin Stennett, and Tammie Bullard and husband, Bobby, all of Booneville, and Tracie Ferguson and husband, Stacy, of Jackson; a son, Ken Taylor and wife, Candy, of Amory; nine grandchildren, Katie Taylor, Tyson Taylor, Stormie Taylor, Tuesday Taylor, Holly Bullard, Bryce Bullard, Dylan Ferguson, Dustin Ferguson and Dalton Ferguson; a great-granddaughter, Haley Hare; three sisters, Voicia Thorn of Earle, Ark,, and Joyce Holloway and Olene McCarley, both of Pine Bluff, Ark.; a brother, Lloyd Taylor of Wabash, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sheila Norene Taylor; a granddaughter, Tina Taylor Hare; two brothers, Milton and Elvin "Shorty" Taylor; and two sisters, Zula Griffin and Ruby Moore.

Pallbearers will be James Austin Stennett, Bobby Bullard, Stacy Ferguson, Rick Hare, Gary Holloway and Dexter Thorn.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Dr. David Chase, Randel Livingston, Waymon Slack and James Jackson.

MICHAEL TAYLOR

Michael Gene Taylor, 40, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at the North Mississippi Medical Center.

Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday al Ludlam’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Burcham and the Rev. Johnny Nunley Officiating. Burial was in New Lebanon Cemetery in Prentiss County.

Survivors include his another, Dessie Cleo Taylor of Iuka, one son, Michael Jason Taylor of Burnsville; two brothers, James R. "Red" Taylor and Danny R. Taylor, both of Iuka; two sisters, Belly Fay, Helton and Retha M. Nunley, both of Iuka

He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Ray Taylor.

CORINTH - Michael Leroy "Mike" Taylor, 54, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He had been an employee of Mississippi Polymers (formerly Intex) since 1967.

MARIETTA - Rodney Mitchell Taylor, 34, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, of his home after a brief illness. He was assistant manager of marketing sales at Action Industries and a member of Marietta Church of Christ. An avid Ole Miss fan, he enjoyed hunting, baseball and golf.

Rufus T. Taylor, 65, of Route 5, Booneville, died Friday, July 26, 1985, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville following a brief illness.

Services were Sunday, July 28, at 2 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home chapel with Jerry Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Little Brown Cemetery.

Mr. Taylor was a Baptist. He was a retired security guard at Northeast Junior College and a veteran of World War II.

Infant Tabatha Nicole Taylor of Booneville, died Monday, August 27, 1979, at Northeast Mississippi Hospital.

BURNSVILLE - Tommy Elton Taylor, 78, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at his residence. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and was a construction worker. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing and playing checkers and dominos.

NEW BERN, N.C. - Wyna Louise Pounds Taylor died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005. She lived at New Bern, N.C., for 52 years. She and her husband, Bob, owned and operated Taylor's Grocery for 27 years. She was a founding member of the New Bern Church of Christ; a lifetime member of VFW Post 2514; and a member of MOCA No. 14. She enjoyed reading, fishing, crabbing, and spending time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger, was always willing to lend a helping hand, and always put the needs of others before her own.

BOONEVILLE - Minnie B. Tedford, 92, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Dec. 18, 1911, in Walker County, Ala., to David Spencer Brown and Ida Lee Smith Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of Community Baptist Church in Alcorn County. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, fishing, gardening, gospel music and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy H. Tedford, in 1969.

ROBERT E. TEDFORD SR.

TUPELO - Robert Edward Tedford Sr., 74, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at his home in Tupelo after a brief illness. He was born July 29, 1929, to the late Ed and Grace Horn Tedford. He grew up in Tupelo and graduated from Tupelo High School. In July 1948 he joined the U. S. Air Force and served during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church.

His first employment was as a delivery boy for the L. D. Hancock Company, where he later became a salesman. A lifelong entrepreneur, he purchased the Peoples Bargain Store on North Spring Street in Tupelo, where he first pioneered the concept of retailing fabric, expanding to stores in Tupelo, Amory, Baldwyn, Booneville and Corinth. In 1956 he partnered with L. D. Hancock to form Hancock Textile Inc. In 1957 they started their franchised retail fabric business which led to 38 different corporations across the South and West. After retiring in 1980, he opened Ted's Trading Post, which originally dealt with antiques. He later manufactured solid oak furniture, building this into a successful business. In 1989 he sold this business to L. D. Hancock and it became Hancock Furniture. He also was the inventor of the popular "Teddy Burger," a half-pound all meat burger in which he took great pride.

An avid conversationalist, he enjoyed fishing at his Florida home. He was admired and loved by his family and a great circle of friends.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Forrest Sheffield will officiate, and Steve Holland will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Kennedy Tedford of Tupelo, whom he married May 6, 1950; a daughter, Sandy T. Maharrey, and son-in-law, Rick Maharrey, of Verona; his grandchildren, Ed Tedford, Katie Maharrey, Kelsey Maharrey and Blake Tedford; a brother, Sam Tedford and wife, Pauline, of Haleyville, Ala.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Grace Kennedy of Tupelo.

He was preceded in death by a son, Bob Tedford, in 1992; his parents; and a brother, James Tedford.

CORINTH - Flora Martin Telander, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at the Whitfield Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 14, 1919, in Chewalla, Tenn., to the late Seny and Mary Bell Martin. She returned to Corinth several years ago from San Diego, Calif. She was a waitress and a member of the Oakland Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Corinth with the Rev. Randy Bostick officiating. Burial will be in Corinth National Cemetery.

MARGARET HOWARD TEMPLE

Margaret Howard Temple, 95, of Chattanooga, Tenn., died Tuesday, June 26, 2001.

Mrs. Temple was born in Benton, Tenn., but had lived much of her life in Booneville, Chattanooga and Spring City. She was a member of Spring City Presbyterian Church and the Spring City Women's Club. She was a graduate of Maryville College and a noted businesswoman in Booneville for many years. She was the widow of Clarence V. Temple.

Services were Friday, June 29 at 2 p.m. at Spring City Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Gary Avans officiating. Burial was in the Spring City Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon and Haven Jones Temple and George and Pamela Petty Temple, all of Chattanooga; a daughter, Carolyn Temple Otten of Whitefish, Mont.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

TUPELO - Billie Tennison, 77, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at her home in Tupelo after a long illness. She was a native of Baldwyn and the daughter of H.S. Farrar and Edna Braden. She was a former resident of Saltillo and a resident of Tupelo for 13 years. She was a homemaker and a member of East Heights Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors in Saltillo with the Rev. Michael Bowers officiating and the Rev. Justin Gates officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert A. TISHOMINGO - Clarice Tucker Tennison, 91, died Sunday, Oct 24, 1999, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. She was the daughter of George and Mary Tucker She was e member of Tishomingo Baptist Church and belonged to the Paden Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, of which she was also a charter member. A homemaker, she was married to Lester Tennison, who preceded her in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today of Tishomingo Baptist Church with burial in Forked Oak Cemetery. Bro Horace McCombs will officiate. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include one sigh, II, Thrum of Tishomingo, one brother, Lloyd Gene Tucker and wife. Dot, of Tishomingo; one sister in law, Evelyn Tucker of Tishomingo: seven nephews, two nieces, and several great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lovell Tucker, and two sisters. Leo Russell, Gladys Pippin.

The body will lie in state one hour before service time.

COLEMAN TENNISON

BOONEVILLE - Coleman Tennison, 70, died Saturday Jan 14, 1989, at his residence. He was a retired construction worker and a World War lI veteran.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Little Brown Cemetery.

Survivors include five sisters, Edna Lovell of Rienzi, Vernice Bishop, Reba Barron, Mrs. Clint Grimes, and Syble Southern, all of Booneville.

REV. EUGENE TENNISON

BURTON - The Rev. Eugene Tennison, 73, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. He was a retired Baptist minister and school teacher, a member of Tishomingo Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University, Vanderbilt University and the Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Ky.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Tishomingo Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Pinkerton officiating. Burial will be in Forked Oak Cemetery.

McMillan Funeral Home of Booneville is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one sister, Margie Harper of Burton; one brother, Curbs Tennison of Burton; one niece, Carolyn Ashmore of Burton; one great niece, Vicki Lambert; one great nephew, Larry Ashmore.

HERBERT C. TENNISON

Herbert C. Tennison, 65, of Booneville, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness.

Services were Sunday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. B. P. Thornton and Bro. Casey Jones officiating. Burial was in Little Brown Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Tennison was retired from Quartet Manufacturing Co. He was a member and deacon of Little Brown Missionary Baptist Church and a Mason and member of Marietta Lodge 1788. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Annis Tennison; two sisters, Christine Carter and Maverine Lella; and three brothers, His, Clayton and Truman Tennison.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rachel Tackett Tennison; his mother-in-law, Maxine Tackett of Booneville; one daughter. Wanda Dodds and her husband, Virgil, of Booneville, one son, Mike Tennison and his wife. Angie, of Booneville, one sister, Nell Leaker of Illinois; five brothers, Julius "Dude" Tennison and his wife. Sue, of Marietta, Archie Tennison and his wife, Justine, of Paden, Wallace Tennison and his wife. Jan. of Hamilton, Ill., Dexter Tennison and his wife, Vertia Mae, of Wheeler, and R. C. Grimes and his wife, Myrtle, of Dennis; four grandchildren, Hannah, Jason and Jonathan Dodds and Michael Tennison; two great-grandsons. Jacob and Ethan Dodds, and a host of other relatives and friends.

LEE TENNISON

BOONEVILLE - Lecil Wayne "Lee" Tennison, 62, died Sunday, July 10, 2005, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. He was born Feb. 8, 1943, in Booneville to J.C. and Melvean Tennison. He was a 1961 graduate of Defiance High School in Defiance, Ohio. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, stationed in Libya. He was a retired construction worker and a Mason. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Fairview Church of God with Bishop John Larsen and Bro. Marshall Tennison officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Church of God Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his mother, Melvean Tennison of Booneville; a brother, Bob Tennison and wife, Patricia, of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Brenda Shock and husband, John, of Defiance, Ohio; a son, Josiah Tennison of Beulaville, N.C.; a daughter, Devon Tennison and fiancZ, Justin Houle, of St. Charles, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Tennison Jr.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was the widow of Ralph G. Tennison.

LULA TENNISON

Lula Edith Tennison, 55, died Wednesday, June 26, 1996, at Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman. Ala.

Mrs. Tennison was born Oct. 25, 1940, in Prentiss County to the Patrick Daniel and Francis Arvila Jones Stricklen. Disabled, she worked many years in various clothing manufacturing plants in Prentiss County as a machine operator. She was a Baptist.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. June 29 at Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny Sherrill officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Major Tennison, whom she married May 10, 1980; one daughter, Edith Stevenson of Cullman, Ala.: Two grandsons, Thomas and James Stevenson, both of Cullman: five brother; James Stricklen and Lenarse Stricklen, both of Booneville; Henry Strickien of Mountain View, Ark.; Truman Stricklen of Bruce, Wis. and Johnny Hartley of Culiman.

MAJOR TENNISON

Major Thomas Tennison, 58, died Friday Dec. 10, 1999, at his brother's home in Hammond, Ind., following a long illness.

Services were Monday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. Fairview Church of God with Bro. David He and Bro. Johnny Sherrill officiating. Burial was in the adjoining church cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born March 25, 1941, in Prentiss County, to the late Thomas Archie Tennison an, Clarice Ethel Belue Tennison. He was a true driver and he was a member of First Bapti5 Church of Libertyville, Ill. He enjoyed hunting fishing and watching youngsters play baseball.

He is survived by a brother, Brady Tennison; and his wife, Peggy, of Hammond, Ind.; three nieces, Tammy Johnson and her husband, Dale Mary Thill and her husband, Joe, and Teri Schultz and her husband, Ed, all of Hammond Ind.; nine great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death in 1996 by his wife Lula Tennison; and an infant brother, Archie Tennison.

BOONEVILLE - Mamie Tennison, 81, died Thursday at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness. She was the widow of Rollin H. Tennison, a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include four daughters, Mavis Gentry and Carolyn Robinson, both of Booneville, Inez Jones and Gladys S. King, both c;f Birmingham; three sons, Melvin Tennison, Luther Tennison and Shields Tennison, all of Booneville; one sister, Martha Carter of Goose Bay, Oregon, 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

MRS. MARY CAROLYN TENNYSON

Mrs. Mary Carolyn Tennyson died Friday, November 11, 1966 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Morris Barnett in Tishomingo, she was a Baptist. She was 84.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 13 at Forked Oak. Bro. Buford Harper officiated. Interment was in the Fork-ed Oak Cemetery.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Morris Barnett of Tishomingo; a grandson, Merle Tennyson of Tishomingo; two great grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Wister Rushing of Tishomingo; and a sister, Mrs. Edna McCreary of Lubbock, Texas.

MARY TENNYSON

CORINTH – Mary Annie Tennyson, 97, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Charlie M. Tennyson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Corinth with the Rev. Eddie McFall officiating. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Wesley Tennyson and wife, Glenda, of Germantown, Tenn., and Dale Tennyson and wife, Dot, of Brandon; a daughter, Bobbie Tennyson of Iuka; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.

CORINTH - Maverine E. Tennyson, 79, formerly of Paden, died Friday, Nov. 7, 203, at the Tishomingo Living Center after a brief illness. She was a homemaker and a member of the Paden Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Tennyson; her parents, Edgar and Ednis Donaldson; one sister, Mildred Coker; and one brother, Nadis Donaldson.

BOONEVILLE - Robert Kelly Tennison, 96, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a brief illness. He was a farmer and a member of New Burton Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon. He was a member of the Kirkville Masonic Lodge since 1946.

BOONEVILLE - Evelyn S. Tepe, 82, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at the Landmark Nursing and Rehab Center in Booneville after a brief illness. She was born July 16, 1922, in Ghent, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Alfred C. Tepe, in 2004. A loving wife and caring and compassionate mother and grandmother, she will best be remembered as a Christian who selflessly volunteered her time at nursing homes and teaching Bible study classes.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phillip Box officiating. Burial will follow in the Booneville Cemetery.

CORINTH - Catherine Leona O'Neal Terry, 55, died Friday, July 23, 2004, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a member of the Rockhill Apostolic Church. She worked as a cosmetologist, LPN and a homemaker. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed reading and traveling.

She was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Prentiss County to Ruben Stanley Spencer and Stella Clayton Spencer. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Booneville. She worked for Dr. Sam Galloway. She enjoyed sewing and growing flowers.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include her children, Wayne and Mitzi Robinson of Pell City, Ala.; a grandson, Wesley Robinson.

GLEN - L. C. Terry, 81, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born Aug. 16, 1921, in Mars Chapel, Tenn., to the late James and Leona Terry. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Oakland Baptist Church. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren who were the light of his life.

BALDWYN - Annie Laura Thomas, 73, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a retired employee of Leggett & Pratt in Tupelo.

ANNE LOU THOMAS

Anne Lou Thomas, 81, of Silverton, Ore., died Saturday, May 18, 2002.

Graveside services were Friday, May 24, at 11 a.m. at Miller Cemetery in Silverton.

She was born in Booneville. She found great joy in her relationship with her two grandsons and she enjoyed gardening.

She married Albert “Al” Thomas on March 14, 1946 in Lucedale. Miss., and the couple moved to Silverton, Ore. Mrs. Thomas worked at Burian's Market, and later at Roth's IGA, retiring in 1982.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Albert 'Thomas of Silverton; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Darryl Krupicka, and grandsons, Benjamin and Bradley Krupicka, all of Canby: sisters, Mayna Senters and Mildred Henson, both of Booneville, and Beatrice Ricks of Callahan, Fla.; and brothers, Wayne Crawley of Memphis and William Crawley of Millbrae. Calif.

BEATRICE THOMAS

AUBURN - Beatrice "Beady" Sanders Thomas, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, at her daughter's home in the Pratts community. A Lee County native, she was born Sept. 18, 1917, to the late Oscar and Pearl Bell Sanders. She was a member of the Mayfield House of God in Saltillo and a homemaker in the Auburn community for many years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, her cats, birds, quilting and attending the Auburn Auction. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Monroe Thomas, on April 27, 2002.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Jeff Jeffreys officiating. Burial will be in Campbelltown Cemetery. There will be no graveside service.

BALDWYN - Carolyn Ann Thomas, 45, lied Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, Ill. She was born May 29, 1958, to the late Manual Junior Penrose and Rachel Penrose. She was a lifelong member of Sand Hill M. B. Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sand Hill M. B. Church at Baldwyn with the Rev. Bradley officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Olive M. B. Church Cemetery at Baldwyn. N. L. Jones Funeral Directors of Verona is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Robert Earl Barnes and wife, Aquitta, of Kankakee, Ill.; three sisters, Cressy C. Billups and husband, Jimmy, Rosemary Beene and Elizabeth Williams, all of Baldwyn; four brothers, Bobby D. Penrose of Kankakee, Ill., and Allen Penrose, Lanny Ray Penrose and wife, Ann, and Danny Jo Penrose, all of Baldwyn; four grandchildren; nine nieces; seven nephews; 14 grandnieces; 17 grandnephews; and numerous aunts and uncles.

BOONEVILLE - Cecil J. Thomas, 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at his home after a long illness. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Smith Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Jewel Thomas, 70, of Baldwyn, died Thursday, Jan. 4.2001, at the North Mississippi Medical Center.

Mrs. Thomas was a retired machine operator at Blue Bell Manufacturing. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Saltillo. She was preceded in death by her parents, W. C. and Lila Canon; and one Brother, Bertis Canon.

She is survived by her husband, Leland Thomas of Baldwyn; one son, Tammy Thomas and his wife, Pat, of Booneville; two sisters, Larue Beasley of Tupelo and Johnnie McCarthy of Greenville: one brother, Otis Canon of Guntown; and one grandchild, Tara Thomas Roper of Booneville.

Joseph Russell Thomas, 77, of Route 1, Booneville, died Sunday, July 7, 1985, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following an extended illness.

He was an employee of the Eaton Corporation in Wisconsin for more than 25 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Kenosha, Wis. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.

GLEN - Lester L. Thomas, 55, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts serving as a medic. He earned the Purple Heart and numerous other medals. He was a welder and a member of the Boilermakers Local 263 in Memphis, Tenn.

DR. P. K. THOMAS JR.

Dr. Perry King Thomas Jr., 76, died Friday, Sept. 29, 1995, at his home. Lovingly known to clients and friends as Dr. P. K., he was the first physician in the Tupelo area to specialize in OB/GYN medicine, delivering more than 5,000 babies during his 37-year career. He was a dedicated physician, not only in terms of his clients' well-being, but also to the quality of care he offered at the North Mississippi Medical Center. However, medicine wasn't Dr. P. K.'s only love. When he wasn't delivering babies and seeing clients. Dr. P. K. stayed busy with other interests. While his first two sons and daughter were young, he shared with them a love for walking horses, and often traveled with his children to compete in shows throughout the area and the Southeastern United States. Dr. P. K. spent most of his retirement years raising guineas, growing and admiring beautiful flowers, and could always be found at dusk in the backyard calling in ducks for their daily feeding. A noted philanthropist for the medical center and Tupelo's arts programs, Dr. P. K. also privately paid tuition expenses for youth who otherwise could not afford a college degree. Dr. P. K. served as a captain in the U. S. Army Medical Corps. He was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tennie Thomas of Marietta were held Monday afternoon at Sumner's Chapel. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with McMillan Funeral Directors in charge.

Mrs. Thomas died Saturday at 5 p.m. in Caldwell Memorial Hospital following an illness of several months. She was a member of the Kirkville Baptist Church and was 91 years of age.

Mr. Thompson was born Oct. 5, 1920, to the late James H. and Arrillia Lambert Thompson. He was employed for three years with the Alcorn County ASCS Office. He retired in 1978 with 30 years with the U. S. Postal Service in Memphis. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Biggersville and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vera Davis Thompson of Biggersville; two daughters and their husbands, Gloria and Frank Huggins of Biggersville and Rachel and Joe Miller of Dennis; a son and his wife, Tommy and Nell Thompson of Biggersville; two sisters, Pauline Washburn and Estelle Johnson and her husband, Arlen, all of Rienzi; a brother and his wife, James B. "Curley" and Jean Thompson of Rienzi; five grandchildren, Tim Huggins and his wife, Vickie, Brian Huggins, Eric Huggins and his wife, Kelly, Stacey Thompson, Sonya Miller and her husband, Kelly; nine great-grandchildren, Kayla, Victoria, Ashley and Justin Huggins, Tyler, Pazlee and Jake Walker, Dana Thompson and Mercedes Thompson; two step great-grandchildren, Christopher and Chloe Milligan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Irene Caveness and her husband, John; a brother, Neal Thompson and his wife, Lena; and a granddaughter, Cynthia Dawn Thompson.

CORINTH - Craig Thompson, 37, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at his home after a long illness. He had lived in Corinth since August 2004.

CORINTH - Helen Walker Thompson, 87, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a retired restaurant worker in Detroit, Mich., and an employee of Walker's Cleaning Service. She was a member of Macedonia M.B. Church, where she served on the Usher Board for more than 30 years.

Services will be at noon Wednesday at Macedonia M.B. Church with the Rev. Lawrence Morris officiating. Burial will be in Corinth National Cemetery. Grayson Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Yvette Williams and husband, DeWayne, of Corinth; a brother, Wheeler Walker Jr. of Corinth; four grandchildren, Jeremy Lockett, Portia Williams, Shaquille Williams and Nakya Williams, all of Corinth; very close friends, Oneida Lasley, Rosa Paden and Annie Amos.

Hershel F, Thompson, 84, of Wheeler, died Monday, May 13, 2002, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after an extended illness.

RIENZI - James B. "Curly" Thompson, 78, died Monday, June 9, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after an extended illness. He was the owner and operator of Rienzi Feed Mill for 23 years. He was a Baptist. He enjoyed gardening, gospel and blue grass music, traveling, football and cattle.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McMillan Funeral Home with Elder Cecil Woodruff and Bro. Bobby Hankins officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, of 60 years, Jean Thompson; one daughter, Joyce Suitor and her husband, Robert, of Rienzi; one son, Jimmy Thompson and his wife, LouAnn, of Rienzi; two sisters, Pauline Washburn and Estelle Johnson, both of Rienzi; six grandchildren, Blake Thompson and his wife, Jana, Niki Smith and her husband, Phil, Alan Thompson and his wife, Lacy, Robi Suitor, Scott Thompson and John Tyler Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Caroline Thompson and Colt Smith.

James S. Thompson, 86, of Corinth, died Monday, February 7, 2000 at the Alcorn County Care Inn. He was a Baptist and a retired employee of Firestone Co. in Memphis, Tenn. Mr. Thompson was an Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lizzie Potts Thompson.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Annie Lou Thompson of Corinth; 2 sons and daughter-in laws: Harold and Wanda Mitchell of Corinth and Gerald and Martha Mitchell of Fulton, MS.; 2 sisters, Mary Thompson of Ashland, MS. and Betty Lee Clark of Germantown, MS.; 4 grandchildren and their spouses. Anthony and Vickie Mitchell, Elaine and Jerry Dildy, Kristy and Jim Martin, Stacy and Scotty Michael,; 5 great grandchildren, Hunter Michael and Kelsea Michael, Kayla Dildy and Cody Dildy, Cheyenne Martin.

She was a retired employee of Prentiss Manufacturing and a member of Wheeler Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the widow of Hershel Thompson, who died May 13, 2002.

HICKORY FLAT - Joe Thompson, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, at the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley. He was a farmer and a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Benton County.

CORINTH - Kathryn A. Thompson, 88, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, in West Point. She was retired from the Alcorn and Tishomingo County School Systems, where she taught for 35 years. She was a member of Box Chapel Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery.

Kelley Wayne Thompson, 60, of Booneville died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after an extended illness.

Mr. Thompson was an employee of Kimberley Clark and a mechanic. He was a member of Gaston Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World He was preceded in death by his father, L. C. Thompson.

He is survived by his wife Pat Thompson' his mother, Amest E. Thompson of Rienzi; two sons, Scottie Thompson and Marty Thompson1 both of Rienzi; two stepsons, James S. Peters of Booneville and Jun Frank Peters of Charleston, Ill.; one sister, Mary Ruth Smith of Baldwyn; two nephews, Tracy Vick of Rienzi and Joey Tyra of Baldwyn; 10 grandchildren and a host of friends and other relatives.

Mrs. Lena Holder Thompson, 96, of Route 6, Booneville, died unexpectedly, Friday, Oct. 18, at her home.

Services were Sunday, Oct. 20, 1985, at 3 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home with Herman Clark, Roger Browning and Luther Gibson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson was the widow of L.A. Thompson. She was a retired general store owner and a member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eva Early of Memphis.

RIENZI - Lena Simmons Thompson, 84, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 1996, at the Magnolia Hospital in Corinth. She was born July 19, 1912. She married Neal Thompson Nov. 6, 1936. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Gaston Baptist Church in Booneville.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ben Parman officiating. Burial will be at the Gaston Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Murphy and her husband, Jimmy, Diane Ray and her husband, Danny; three grandchildren, Nathan Williams, Amanda Murphy and Rachel Ray; one brother, John Wesley Simmons; one sister, Ola Vernell Simmons; her care giver, Mary Murphy, all of Booneville.

BOONEVILLE - Leona G. Thompson, 83, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. She was a lifelong resident of Booneville and Prentiss County. She was the widow of Harry Thompson and a member of the Baptist church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. She was the daughter of Homer and Annie L. Butler.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Salts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Wilson and the Rev. Andrew Marshall Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Smith's Cemetery.

SALTILLO - Mary Kathryn Thompson, 83, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at her residence. She was a retired factory worker. She loved to quilt and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Saltillo Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sammy Lansdell and Bro. Ray Oliver officiating. Burial will be in the Fellowship Cemetery.

MILDRED BRACKEEN THOMPSON

Mildred Brackeen Thompson, 77, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at Anderson Hospital in Meridian after a brief illness.

Services were Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. at Liberty Methodist Church with the Rev. Jack Williams and the Rev. Vern Rodgers officiating. Burial was in Liberty Memorial Gardens. McMillan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Thompson was born Oct. 10, 1922, to the late Price and Erua Gause Brackeen. She was owner of Thompson's Furniture and a member of Fifth Street United Methodist Church in Meridian. She was a caregiver for many shut-ins in the community.

She is survived by her husband, Lester Thompson of Meridian; her daughter, Janice Cross and her husband, Doug, of Collinsville, Miss.; her son, Jerry Wayne Thompson and his wife, Donna, of Marion, Miss.; her brother, Herbert Brackeen of Paris, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Taletha Swearingen, Tammara Kennedy, Shannon York, Jennifer Hollis, Jay Hollis, Jeremy Thompson, Audrey Thompson, Emily Thompson and Katlyn Thompson; seven great-grandchildren, Loren, Brandon and Kristen Kennedy, Bradley and Tori McNeece, Karli and Bailey Swearingen.

CORINTH - Mollie Lee Thompson, 82, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at the Southern Hill Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. She was a faithful church member of St. Mark M.B. Church where she served in many capacities. She also worked at the Mowery Shop.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Mark M.B. Church with the Rev. Kim Ratliff officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Grayson Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Thompson Sr.; one daughter; three brothers; and one sisters.

RIENZI - Neal Thompson, 74, died Saturday at his residence. He was a retired employee of the Mississippi Highway Department and of Gold Bond Pest Control. He was a member of Gaston Baptist Church.

Peggy Thompson, 42, of Burnsville, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a long illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 19. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery.

BOONEVILLE - Sophia Thompson, 88, died Tuesday. June 6, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after along illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Smith Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She was the widow of Ellis Thompson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rickey Willis and Bro. Rick Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Tuscumbia Cemetery.

WHEELER - Thelma Thompson, 84, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999. at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility after a long illness. She was a retired factory worker and a member of Wheeler United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Baxter E. Thompson.

SALTILLO - Walter Edwin Thompson Sr., 82, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born June 2, 1922, in Cleveland to the late James and Ethel Thompson. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending church, spending time with his grandchildren and fishing.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eddie Boutwell officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

WILLIAM COLEMAN THOMPSON

"Death of Coleman Thompson.

I rode over to the Cross Roads, hear that Coleman Thompson died yesterday of pneumonia. He was reported to have died on Sabbath but that was premature. It was said that he had moved to Baldwyn but that was also a mistake. He was about 70 years old and had lived in this county more than 51 years. His father Jack Thompson was one of the first settlers of old Carrollville. His wife, the eldest daughter of Saml Rowan decd, survives."

Winston Thompson, 70, of Ontario, Canada, died suddenly at his home on March 9th, 2004. He was the brother of Mary Ann Maxwell, luka. He leaves behind his wife, Anne of 45 1/2 years; two sons, Rev. Paul and his wife, Mary of Chicago, Bruce and his wife, Lois of Ontario, Canada; five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Sarah Thompson, Sharon and Melvin Lee Maxwell.

His family flew there for his funeral. He leaves behind lots of nieces and nephews and close friends.

Pallbearers were his nephews.

RED BAY, Ala. - Reba S. Thorn, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at the Terrace Manor Nursing Home. She was retired as a factory worker after 40 years. She was of the Baptist faith.

Stella Lenora Thorne, 89, died Friday, August 24, 2001, at the Iuka Hospital. She was a homemaker for 70 years, and a life-long member of Carters Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Bernice Thornton, 81, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at the Iuka Hospital. She was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Dorris Truman Thornton, 68, of Route 4, Box 413, Booneville, died unexpectedly Tuesday. Dec. 1, 1992, at his home.

BOONEVILLE - Edith Quay Malone Thornton, 87, died Friday, July 2, 2004, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Dec. 29, 1916, in Prentiss County to Sandy and Mary Jane "Molly" Moore Malone. She married Marlis "Cotton" Thornton on July 17, 1937. They farmed together until she began working at Marietta Manufacturing in 1963. She retired from there in 1981. She was a member of New Bethel Church of Christ in New Site. She loved and enjoyed her family and friends, especially cooking for them.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Roy Taylor and Jimmy Gross officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Cotton Thornton; a daughter, Barbara Guinn and husband, Tommy, of Dresden, Tenn.; a son, Gary Thornton and wife, Lynette, of Marietta; three grandsons, Andrew Guinn and Jordan Guinn of Nashville, and David Thornton of Marietta; many nieces and nephews.

BALDWYN - Fred Thornton, 76, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at New Albany Schools and a former employee of Penn Tire. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Jericho Baptist Church.

BOONEVILLE - Horace Arthur Thornton, 74, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville he was born Jun. 7, 1928, in Prentiss County to William Arthur Thornton and Elizabeth Amanda Green Thornton. He was a Pentecostal. He was a firefighter for the City of Booneville for 32 years, serving 15 years of that time as assistant fire chief. He also was a commercial fisherman. He was an MP in the US. Army during World War II and served with the Occupation Army in Germany at Bro end of the war. A men r her of the American Leg run, he was well known for preparing stew on Veterans Day each year. He also was active in the Goodfellows program. He enjoyed hunting, falling and playing dominoes.

Jimmie D. Thornton, formerly of Booneville, died Monday, Aug. 19, at Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.

Services were Aug. 21, at Barnes Funeral Home in Dyer, Tenn.

Mr. Thornton was a retired employee of Brown Shoe Company, having worked and lived in Booneville several years ago. He was a member of the First Methodist Church while he resided in Booneville, and a member of the Methodist Church in McKensie, Tenn., where he made his home.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Dell; one daughter, Kay Walden; and two grandchildren.

BOONEVILLE - Robert Matthew “Matt” Thornton, 19, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, from injuries received in an automobile accident near, the Altitude community of Prentiss County. He was born, Oct. 21, 1983, in Tupelo to Robert and Kathy Thornton. He was a senior at Booneville High School. He was a member of the Blue Devil Marching Band, captain of the trumpet section and a member of the band loading crew. He was a member of the First Booneville Baptist Church, and a part-time employ" of Wal-Mart in Booneville, where he worked in the garden center for three years. William Boyce (Jack) Thornton, 67, of Phoenix, Ariz., died Monday, Oct. 26, 1992. after an extended illness.

Memorial services will be Thursday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m. at East Prentiss Baptist Church. Burial will be in Phoenix.

Mr. Thornton was a veteran of World War 11 and a Baptist. He was retired from military and civil service.

YOUAL THORNTON

BOONEVILLE - Youal Leabron Thornton, 92, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born Sept. 7, 1912, in Prentiss County, where he lived most of his life. He was the son of James Ira Thornton and Della Leaner Thornton. He was a farmer, school bus driver and timber cutter. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, where he was treasurer for 25 consecutive years and song leader since 1948. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving with the 78th Lightning Division of the 1st Army Infantry in Germany during World War II. He earned the European Medal, Combat Badge, Good Conduct Medal, three Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He was serving on the front lines in Germany on VJ Day. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and singing in church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ with Minister Ricky Green and Minister Steve Hodgin officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Edna Shouse Thornton, whom he married March 7, 1936; two sons, Norris Thornton and wife, Joann, and James Thornton and wife, Patricia, all of New Site; five grandchildren, Michael Thornton, Marlan Thornton and wife, Kim, Rabin Thornton, Tammy Bullard and husband, Kevin, and Tina Hutchens and husband, Robbie; 10 grandchildren.

CORINTH - Elick Thrasher, 97, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at the Alcorn Health and Rehab. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist.

BOONEVILLE - Jane Holley Thrasher, 69, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth after a long illness. She was born June 12, 1933, in Booneville to Arthur Jackson and Dena Files Jackson. She was a machine operator in the shirt manufacturing industry. She was of the Church of Christ faith. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, growing flowers and, most of all her grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Minister J.A. Thornton officiating.

Survivors include two sons, Steven J. and Teresa Holley of the Blackland community, and George Kevin and Tracy Holley of Rienzi; six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bill Holley', four brothers; and two sisters.

JAMES JASPER THRASHER

GOLDEN, Miss. - James Jasper "Jape" Thrasher, 83, died at the Booneville Hospital at 11:28 p.m. on Aug. 1, 1957.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 4:30 at Golden Methodist Church with Rev. Louis Parker officiating. Internment was in Salem cemetery with Highsmith Funeral Home of Russellville in charge.

He is survived by three sons, Toy Thrasher, Golden; Flaud Thrasher, Sheffield; and Nona Thrasher, Ashburn, Ga.; three brothers, Bill, Lemuel, and Henry Thrasher, all of Marietta. Five grandchildren also survive.

JEWEL MAE "SIBLE" THRASHER

Jewel Mae "Sible" Thrasher. 67. of Saltillo, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at her home as the result of a house fire. Funeral services were held Saturday. Dec. 22. Burial was in Fellowship Cemetery.

Mrs. J. J. Thrasher (Josie), 79, died at the Booneville hospital Friday afternoon, about 3 o'clock, November 12, 1954.

She died of heart trouble shortly after entering the hospital.

She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Golden Methodist church with the pastor, Rev. E. S. Furr, and her nephew, Rev. Ray Rogers, of Pontotoc conducting the service.

Surviving are her husband, Jape Thrasher; 3 sons, Flaud "Dock" Thrasher, Sheffield, Ala., Nona Thrasher, Ft. Payne, Ala., and Toy Thrasher, Golden; one sister, Mrs. J. S. South, (Sally) Golden; one brother, Earnest Stephens, Ozark; and six grandchildren.

Burial was in Salem cemetery with her nephews as pallbearers.

William Joe "Bill" Thrasher of the Ozark community in Itawamba County died at about 8 a.m., Wednesday, at his home after suffering a sudden heart attack. He was 91.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Friday form the Kirkville Church with the Rev. Mr. Gates in charge, assisted by the Revs. G. S. Rayburn and Eugene Digby. McNeese-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Thrasher, a retired farmer, was a member of Ozark Methodist Church for more than 56 years.

He leaves his wife, Ollie Senter George Thrasher, three sons, Marvin & Jewell Thrasher, both of Marietta; and Ronny Thrasher of TX; two daughters, Mrs. Elise Spigner of Fairlee, TX, and Mrs. Annie Lou Dickerson of Commerce, TX; one brother, Henry Thrasher of Guntown; two step-daughters, Mrs. Buster Smith (Ozelle) of Marietta and Mrs. Estell Russell of Kenosha, Wisc.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma Stephens Thrasher.

BOONEVILLE - Cleatus Sol Threadgill, 79, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at his home near Booneville after a long illness. He was a member of the Baptist church. He was disabled. He formerly racked pool balls at the Dixie Pool Hall in Booneville. He enjoyed playing dominoes, shooting pool, drinking coffee with his friends, and spending time with his family.

Carl G. Tice, 90, of the Pisgah community, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a brief illness.

Services will be Thursday, March 14, at 1 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Minnix officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Tice was a retired farmer and a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Emma Loveless Tice.

CORTEZ STOREY TICE

Cortez Storey Tice, 78, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at her residence in the Wheeler Grove community.

Services were Monday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel with Rusty Hills officiating. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Tice was born May 31, 1921, in Clay County, Ala., to James and Clauda Hannah Storey. She was retired from ITT in Corinth where she worked in the packing department. She was a Methodist.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Van Tice of Corinth; one son, Larry Tice and his wife, Ginger, of Corinth; three daughters, Juanita Barnett and her husband, Leland, Bobbie Nell Sanders, Sally McLemore and her husband, Dan, all of Corinth; one sister, Velma Prather of Baldwyn; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert A. Tice; one grandson, Brett Tice and one granddaughter, Debbie Barnett Pippin.

Pallbearers were Teddy Tice, Johnny Tice, Frankie Barnett, Ronnie Sanders, Randy Sanders and Jay Baker. Honorary pallbearers were Kenny Tice and David Baker.

MABLE (ROBINSON) TICE

Mrs. Mable Bernice Tice, 63, of Trumann, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

A retired employee of Delta Toolbox, she was born in Alcorn County and had lived in Trumann for the past two months. She was formerly of Jonesboro and Lake City. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Edgar Tice of the home; two daughters, Alma Martinez of Jonesboro and Molly Paulette Herren of Caruthersville, Mo.; two sons, Kenner Church of Booneville and James Church of Jonesboro; four sisters, Maxine Staggs and Margie Bridges, both of Rienzi, Ernie Yarrington of Lake Station, Ind., and Oma Reavis of Cicero, Ill.; three brothers, K.B. Robinson and Buddy Robinson, both of Rienzi and Jodie Robinson of Clinton; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The body will be cremated. Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann was in charge of arrangements.

Mae Henry Mitchell Tice, 71, of Corinth, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Services were Sunday, Aug. 19, at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Dr. Kara Blackard and the Rev. Mike Browns officiating. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Tice was a seamstress at Garan. She was a member of First Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. She enjoyed keeping her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cooking, sewing and working in her yard.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Hussey and her husband, Carl, of Corinth, and Carolyn Leonard and her husband, Harold, of Selmer, Tenn.; two brothers, Willie B. DENNIS - Billy Howell Tidwell, 67, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at the Red Bay Hospital. He was born May 20, 1937, in Dennis. He was a school administrator and coach for 20 years. He was a member of Dennis United Methodist Church and active in church and community activities. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchilden. He was the son of the late Homer and Opal Tidwell.

Rites For David R. Tidwell Held Monday

Funeral services for David R, Tidwell of Dennis were conducted Monday afternoon at Liberty Church of Christ with Bro. Paul Clayton officiating. Burial was in the Lindsey Cemetery with McMillan Funeral Directors in charge.

Mr. Tidwell died Sunday at 5:45 a.m. in the Tishomingo County Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Tidwell, who was retired I from public work, was a member of the Church of Christ. He was 81.

He leaves a brother, Houston Tidwell of California.

He was a retired farmer and a retired employee of Walden's Super Star. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

BOONEVILLE - Ruth Scruggs Tidwell, 83, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Baptist Hospital East after a long illness. She was a former nurse's aide at St. Francis Nursing Home in Memphis. She later became a private duty nurse, retiring at the age of 78. After retiring, she moved to Booneville to live with her daughter.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen. Burial will be in Bishop Cemetery.

BOONEVILLE - William Mel Tidwell, 69, died Saturday, July 26, 2003, as the result of an automobile accident near Meridian. He was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Tippah County to Tully and Mavis Tidwell. A professional engineer, he was a 1955 graduate of the Mississippi State University School of Engineering. He served as an officer in the U. S. Navy from 1955 until 1959. For the past 23 years he had been the owner and president of Tidwell and Associates, a general contracting firm in Booneville. He was an active supporter of Habitat for Humanity. He was an active member of the Republican Party and past president of the Prentiss County chapter. He was appointed by former Gov. Kirk Fordice to serve on the Mississippi Home Corporation, where he was a past chairman. He was a strong financial supporter of education and his community. He was a Christian who respected the dignity of life.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Duncan and Father Henry Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Tippah Memorial Gardens.

IUKA - Andy Tigner, 33, died Sunday, April 4, 2004, at the Iuka Hospital as the result of an automobile accident. He was a former employee of Eastport Marina, where he worked for many years. He enjoyed boating on the Tennessee River. His pride and joy was his 3-year-old daughter, Savannah.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka with Bro. Junior Jones and Bro. G. D. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Eastport Cemetery.

Survivors include his daughter, Savannah Tigner of Iuka; his mother, Mary Ann Tigner of Iuka; two brothers, Ben Tigner, and Marvin Horne and wife, Lori, all of Iuka; a nephew, John Horne of Iuka.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Tigner.

IUKA - Laura Tigner, 96, died Friday, April 21, 1989 at the Pickwick Manor Nursing Home. She was a Methodist.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Paul Feltman officiating. Burial will be in the Hebron Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Whitaker of Iuka, Flaudie Alexander of Memphis; three sons, Herman Tigner and J. M. Tigner, both of Iuka, Bernon Tigner of Fayetteville, N. C.; 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

MARY ANN TIGNER

IUKA - Mary Ann Tigner, 63, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at the Iuka Hospital. She was a member of the Eastport Baptist Church. She was employed for 20 years at the Iuka Shoe Factory and was later employed for 15 years at the Iuka Hospital, where she worked in housekeeping. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed making flower arrangements and gardening.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Eastport Baptist Church with Bro. Junior Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Eastport Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin Horne and wife, Lori, and Ben Tigner, all of Iuka; two grandchildren, John Horne and Savannah Tigner, both of Iuka.

She was preceded in death by her son, Andy Tigner; her husband, Gary Tigner; her sisters, Bernice Sanders and Billie Walker; and her parents, Ben and Hessie Lambert.

IUKA - Pearl McMeans Tigner, 95, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at the Iuka Hospital. She attended the Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Lance Foster officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Tigner of Memhis; a daughter, Virginia Ann Neal of Allen, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Tigner; her parents, Charles and Fannie McMeans; two sons, Tommy and Gary Tigner; three brothers, Arthur, Decker and Merle McMeans; and five sisters, Minnie Curtis, Mattie Curtis, Esther Massey, Eunice Smith and Zula McMeans.

Betty Sue Michael Tigrett, 62, of the Pisgah community, died Sunday, July 15, 2001, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility after an extended illness.

Services were Tuesday, July 17, at 2 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Burrows officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Tigrett was employed by Pisgah Headstart and was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary Michael; and one brother, Gerald Michael.

She is survived by her husband, Irving M. Tigrett; one daughter, Susan Bradley and her husband, Timothy, of Booneville; one son, Shane Tigrett of the Pisgah community; two grandchildren, Holley and Hunter; three sisters, Donna McKinley and Joeline McCoy, both of Booneville and Martha Inman of Rienzi; two brothers, Ronald Michael of Baldwyn and Alfred Michael of Booneville.

BOONEVILLE - Elizabeth Tigrett, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a long illness. She was an employee of the V.F. Botto Co. in Memphis. She was a member of Dumas United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. W.C. Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery.

Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Doris Tigrett of Brandon, Melvia Tigrett of Booneville and Betty Stanley Tigrett of Lakeland, Fla.; two nieces, Martha Jean Tigrett Alford of Daphney, Ala., and Phyllis Colson of Booneville; four nephews, Waymon Tigrett, Travis Tigrett, Terry Tigrett Jr. and David Tigrett, all of Brandon; a brother, T.A. PISGAH - Lee Allen "Billy" Tigrett, 95, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at his home in the Pisgah community. He was a farmer and a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening and talking to his friends, and was especially devoted to his family. He believed in honesty and hard work, and was active, as his health permitted, until his death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Pisgah United Methodist Church with Bro. Billy Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home of Booneville is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Louise Holley and husband, Gerald, of Houston, Texas; two sons, Irvin Tigrett and wife, Frances, and Billy W. Tigrett and wife, Barbara, all of Pisgah; a sister-in-law, Willard Tigrett of Booneville; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Ruby Prince Tigrett; a daughter-in-law, Betty Tigrett; and four sisters and three brothers.

Mary Florence Tigrett, 87, of Booneville, died Monday, April 14, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a brief illness.

Services were Wednesday, April 16, at 2 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jessie Phillips officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery.

Mrs. Tigrett was a housewife and a member of Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church. She was the widow of Jesse Clovis Tigrett.

She is survived by three sons, Marvin Tigrett and his wife, Patricia, of Memphis, Milton Tigrett and his wife, Bobbie, of Booneville, and Billy Tigrett and his wife, Linda, of Booneville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

PISGAH - Ruby Lee Prince Tigrett, 92, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a short illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Pisgah Methodist Church; she enjoyed working in her flowers and gardening.

HERBERT L. TILL

Herbert L. Till, 72, of Guys, Tn. died Monday, April 17, 2000 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  He was an Army Veteran of World War II, retired from Wurlitzer in Corinth.  Mr. Till was a former resident of Iuka, where he worked as a TV repairman.  He was an avid beagler.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Ann Till, and two sisters, Adlean George and Janice South.

Mr. Till is survived by his wife, Norma Till of Guys. Tn.; a daughter, Joette Rhodes and husband Johnny of Iuka, Ms; 2 sons, Richard Till and Robert Till and his wife Sharee all of Iuka, Ms;3 sisters, Lucille Seago of Guys, Tn., Maeona Whitfield of Tampa FL, June Brewer of Tuscumbia, AL; and 4 grandchildren.

MARJORIE E. TILLEY

Marjorie E. Tilley, 80, left her earthly tent and entered the presence of the

Lord on December 2, 2001, at the home of her daughter. Marge was born in Guntown, Mississippi on September 4, 1921, the daughter of Clyde and W. E. Outlaw She contributed to the war effort in World War II by working in the shipyards at Pascagoula, Mississippi. When the war ended she entered the Shreveport Charity Hospital School of Nursing in Shreveport, Louisiana, graduating in June. 1947. During her 40 year career as an R. N. Marge worked in hospitals and clinics and acquired a reputation as a giver of nearly painless shots. When asked how she did it, she would say, "It's all in the wrist!" Marge and her husband Elmo met while she was in nursing school and married on December 31, 1947. His career in Civil Service took them to Victoria, Texas and Boulder City, Nevada and retirement led them to Wickenburg in 1976. Elmo preceded her in death on April 29, 1981.

She is survived by a daughter, Margie Kellim (Charles) and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jeremy, of Scottsdale, AZ, sisters Janie Franklin of Baldwyn, and Lucille (Pug) Heitenrader of Bakersfield, California, numerous nieces and nephews, and many kind and loving friends.

Marge was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wickenburg and greatly enjoyed the opportunities for service and friendship that she found there.

Her family and friends will remember her as a kind generous encouraging person, and she will be greatly missed.

A memorial services was held at the church on Monday, December 17, 2001. Marge received Christ as her personal savior in 1955 through the influence of a dear friend and it was always her heart's desire that others would also come to know him as their personal savior. Because of this, the family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to "Special Mission Projects", Calvary Baptist Church, 930 E. Tegner, Wickenburg, AZ 85390.

ARTIE E. TIMBES

PADEN - Artie E. Timbes, 96, died Thursday, March 19, 1998, at the Magnolia Hospital. She taught school in Tishomingo County for 46 years. She was a member of Paden Baptist Church, where she was the adult women's Sunday School class teacher and a supporter of the mission program. She married Odell Timbes in 1923; he preceded her in death.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Paden Baptist Church with Bro. Marc Howard, Bro. James Thorne and Bro. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will be in Tishomingo Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one grandson, John T. McGill of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Hattie Mae Crawford and Mary Byram, both of Corinth; one brother, Vernon Grimes of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters-in-law, Mamie Grimes of Tishomingo and Martha Grimes of Corinth; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Grace Elizabeth and Willis McGill; a granddaughter, Barbara McGill; her parents, George and Lou Grimes; one sister, Attie Lou Frederick; and five brothers, Dewell, Lester, Elmer, Vard and Lloyd Grimes.

J.C. TIMBES

James Cecil "J.C." Timbes, 75, of Memphis, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis after an extended illness.

Services will be Thursday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister John Grant officiating. Burial will be in New Lebanon Cemetery.

Mr. Timbes was retired from Taylor Truck Lines in Memphis and a, member of Quince Road Church of Christ in Memphis. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Iva Timbes; his mother, Onnie May Timbes, of Memphis; three daughters, Martha J. Wilson and Sandra J. Graham, both of Memphis and Susan Collins of Booneville; three stepdaughters, Ann Chappo of Knoxville, Tenn., Sandra Paine of Memphis and Pam Downing of Byhalia; one son, Donald J. Timbes of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Charles Timbes of Southaven; 11 grandchildren; three step grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

BOONEVILLE - Onnie Timbes, 94, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at Methodist Hospital Central in Memphis following an extended illness. She was married to Gallon Timbes who preceded her in death. A housewife, she was a member of Clausal Hill Independent Methodist church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Lebanon Cemetery. The Rev. Benny McKinney will officiate.

Survivors include one son, Charles Timbes and wife, Sue, of Southaven; two daughters in law, Iva Timbes of Memphis and Louise Timbes of Booneville: one sister, Ere Tennison of Continental, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

IUKA - Vera Mae Timbes, 87, died Tuesday, June 14, 2004, at the Iuka Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burnsville. She was a soft-spoken homemaker who enjoyed walking and spending time with her family.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with the Rev. Ed Temple officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include a sister, Zelma Ramsey of Iuka; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy L. Timbes; her parents, Richard and Clara Robinson; five sisters, Irene Anderson, Eartha Haines, Leo Timbes, Velma Martin and Lorene Dexter; and three brothers, Lester Robinson, Hoyt Robinson and Herbert Robinson.

JOHNNY W. TIMLAKE

ROCKPORT, Texas - Johnny W. Timlake, 66, formerly of Corinth, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, in Rockport, Texas, as the result of an automobile accident. A native of Corinth, he was born March 16, 1938, to the late John W. and Eugenia McGhee Timlake. He was a retired master sergeant with the U. S. Air Force, retiring Sept. 1, 1984, with 30 years of service. He was a B-52 gunner in the Strategic Air Command and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Air Force Gunner Association. After retiring he worked with the U. S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for 14 years, retiring in June 2000. He moved to a retirement community, Copano Bay, in Rockport, Texas, where he enjoyed fishing with his many friends.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors. Charlie Marshall Funeral Home of Rockport, Texas, is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a son, John Patrick Timlake of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Marilyn Timlake of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Johanna Timlake Smith and husband, W. She lived in Corinth most of her adult life except for living in Las Vegas from 1955 to 1977. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy Timlake, in 1996.

RIPLEY - Johnny D. Timmons, 84, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley. He was a member of Blue Mountain Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran. He was the body shop manager for Farrow-Ward for 45 years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe McKnight officiating. Burial will be in Camp Ground Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Junie Cartwright Timmons of Ripley; a daughter, Jeanette Plaxico and husband, Charles, of Ripley; two sons, Billy Joe Rainey and wife, Jovonna, of New Albany, and Roger Cartwright and wife, Sherry, of Ripley; a sister, Josephine Bridges of Indianapolis, Ind.; six grandchildren, Chuck Plaxico of Columbus, Ohio, Charlene Herring of New Albany, Lindsey Defir of Memphis, Samuel Edge of Booneville, Delton Cartwright of Ripley and Lucas Cartwright of Ripley; seven great-grandchildren.

He was receded in death by his parents, John P. and Mary Timmons; two sisters and three brothers.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Lewis, Dennis Lewis, Bobby Gates, Jimmy Windham, Bud Huddleston and James Thomas.

His brothers-in-law will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

JOHNNY P. TIMMONS

RIPLEY - Johnny P. Timmons, 84, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley. He was a member of Blue Mountain Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran. He was the body shop manager for Farrow-Ward for 45 years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe McKnight officiating. Burial will be in Camp Ground Cemetery.

Gracie Lou Tittle, 81, of Irving, Texas, died Friday. July 26, 2002.

Services were Tuesday, July 30, at 10 a.m. at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Wing, Texas, with burial in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

She was born July 18, 1921, in Rienzi; Mrs. Tittle was a member of Crestview Baptist Church in Irving, Texas. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Tittle.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John T. Tittle; a daughter, Joanna Alexander; a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Annie Tittle of Irving-, a sister, Esta Bethay of Booneville; a brother, Hollis Duncan of Rienzi: grandchildren, Jason and Christy Alexander, Steven Tittle, Jeremy and Brenda Johnson; great-grandchildren, Michael Leon Alexander and Matthew Johnson.

Jimmy Keith Tittle, 52, of Simpsonville, SC, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 16. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park,
